BMC approves plan to convert Bandra's Neville D'Souza football ground into convention hub
On Tuesday evening, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) general body gave the green light to a proposal that alters the land use of the Neville D'Souza football ground in Bandra, designating it for a convention and exhibition facility instead. This decision was finalized despite pushback from the Opposition and the Mumbai Football Association (MFA). The venue, which opened in 2018, is said to serve more than 200 different football clubs.
