BJP threatens Omar Abdullah with ₹100-crore defamation suit over poaching allegations

The Jammu and Kashmir BJP has issued a legal notice to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah regarding his statement that the party attempted to bribe an NC MLA with ₹20-30 crore to defect. J&K BJP president Sat Paul Sharma rejected the accusation as baseless and has given the CM a seven-day deadline to either provide proof or issue an apology. The notice further warns that failure to comply will result in a ₹100-crore defamation lawsuit.
