The BJP has targeted senior Congress figure and Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala after a video surfaced showing him cutting a cake decorated to resemble the Tricolour. Sharing the clip, the BJP remarked, "In the name of celebration, a knife is being run across a cake designed to look like the National Flag." BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule demanded legal action, stating that a case should be filed against him under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
