BJP demands apology after Karnataka minister calls Islam 'superior to other religions'
Basavaraj Rayareddi, the Higher Education Minister of Karnataka, stated that Islam is "superior to other religions". The minister also shared his wish to travel to Mecca, noting that he is unable to do so as he is a non-Muslim. Condemning these statements, BJP leader R Ashoka claimed that Rayareddi had additionally mentioned he does not go to temples. Ashoka has called on Rayareddi to take back his comments and issue an apology to the Hindu community.
