Bihar court hands life term to man for dowry-related murder of wife
A court in Bagaha, Bihar, has handed a life sentence to Subhash Yadav for the murder of his wife, Reena Devi, stemming from a disagreement over dowry demands that included a motorcycle and a buffalo. Additionally, the court imposed a fine of ₹1.25 lakh on Yadav and gave him a seven-year prison term under Section 201. Reena’s two young children are set to get ₹4,000 in monthly support through the Parvarish scheme, in addition to rehabilitation aid provided by the DLC.
