Bhopal scholarship scam: College and bank staff siphoned funds using fake student accounts
The CBI has exposed a scholarship scam in Bhopal where government money intended for MBA students was redirected into bank accounts created without the students' consent. An investigation revealed that approximately ₹99.48 lakh in government scholarship funds were misappropriated from January 2020 to October 2021. Six individuals, comprising both college administrators and bank employees, have been identified as suspects in the case.
