Bengaluru homeowners might pay for ₹1300 crore elevated corridor via tax levy
According to reports, residents living near the route of a planned 11-km elevated corridor, which carries a price tag of ₹1300 crore, could be required to help fund the project via a property tax surcharge. The proposed path for the corridor includes key Bengaluru neighborhoods such as Madiwala, Koramangala, Domlur, and Indiranagar. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) has apparently decided against using tolls to generate funds for the project.
