Bengaluru eateries warn they may leave Swiggy and Zomato
Restaurant associations in Bengaluru have issued a warning that they will stop using Swiggy and Zomato after August 15. The owners claim that high commission rates, mandatory discounts, and various deductions mean they only keep about ₹40,000 from every ₹1 lakh in sales. Their demands include clear advertising fees, stopping the practice of automatic billing adjustments following customer grievances, and assigning a specific relationship manager to each establishment.
