Bengaluru: 64 PGs inspected, expired goods and artificial colors confiscated

Officials from the Karnataka Food Safety and Drug Administration conducted a special drive, checking 64 paying guest (PG) facilities across Bengaluru. Following the inspections, 23 of these accommodations received notices due to unsanitary conditions and breaches of food safety rules. Authorities confiscated various items, including expired curd, rice flour, bisibele bath mix, synthetic food coloring, black pepper, and other mislabeled food products found at several locations.
