Beijing's influence leads Chinese rare earth firms to block US exports

Suppliers of rare earth materials in China are turning away US customers due to concerns over potential backlash from Beijing. These export freezes began following China's decision to impose sanctions on the American supply-chain organization RBA back in August. Essential resources such as tungsten, indium phosphide, and yttrium are currently trading at prices close to their all-time highs. Analysts anticipate that these supply restrictions may loosen as President Xi Jinping prepares for his scheduled trip to Washington on September 24.
