BBC investigation: Instagram ads in India linked to child abuse content on Telegram
A BBC investigation has revealed that Instagram is displaying advertisements that promote child sexual abuse material within India. These ads, which feature explicit search terms, redirect users to Telegram channels where such videos are being sold for prices starting at ₹99. In a specific instance, the BBC flagged one of these advertisements to Instagram; however, the platform replied a day later, claiming the content did not breach its community guidelines.
