Bail granted to Sena leader Mhatre in doctor assault case; released from prison
Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre walked out of jail on Saturday following a bail order from the Bombay High Court. Mhatre had been detained for assaulting medical staff at a hospital. Along with him, four others involved in the incident were also granted bail. The court has mandated a speedy trial and instructed Mhatre and the co-accused to remain outside the borders of Maharashtra until the chargesheet is formally submitted.
