Auto sales hit record July high on rural demand and lower interest rates

According to FADA, vehicle registrations saw a 26% increase this July, marking the strongest performance for the month in the auto industry's history. Vice President Sai Giridhar attributed the growth to the impact of GST 2.0, more affordable loans, robust demand from rural areas, and an expansion in dealership locations. Additionally, vehicles running on alternative fuels accounted for 40.6% of passenger car sales, almost reaching the same level as petrol vehicles.
