Assam man held for demanding ₹1 crore to kill CM Sarma
Police in Assam's Morigaon district took a man into custody on Friday for posting death threats against Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on social media. The individual reportedly demanded a payment of one crore rupees to carry out the act and invited those interested in paying the amount to reach out to him. According to an NDTV report, he also made anti-India statements and shouted slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad."
