Assam cancer survival rate hits 62%, CM reports

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state's multi-level cancer treatment initiative has boosted the survival rate to 62%, surpassing the national average. This progress is credited to prompt screening, early detection, and effective care. To date, 47 lakh individuals have been screened in Assam, with plans to reach 1.24 crore people in the upcoming phase.
