Assam Assembly to include Hindi as an official language
The Assam Assembly will include Hindi as an additional official language alongside Assamese, English, and Bodo, starting from the Budget Session on Monday, according to Speaker Ranjeet Kumar Dass. "Since Hindi is a 'Rashtra Bhasha', as a sign of respect for it, we have decided to introduce it in the House," Dass explained. Additionally, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma rejected rumors that Bodo was being removed.
