Assam and Tripura connected by Northeast India's first MEMU train

Northeast India has inaugurated its inaugural Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) train service. This modern electric train will link Tripura to the southern region of Assam. By offering a quieter, smoother travel experience and producing zero emissions during operation, the service supports Indian Railways' goal of building a more sustainable and eco-friendly transportation network.
