Ashley Cole leaves England U-21 coaching role following five-year tenure
Ashley Cole, the ex-Chelsea and England star, has departed from his position as an assistant coach for the England Under-21 squad after a five-year stint. Since joining the setup in 2021, Cole played a key role in the team's back-to-back European Under-21 Championship victories in 2023 and 2025, serving under manager Lee Carsley. Additionally, Cole supported Carsley during his brief period as the interim head coach for the senior England side.
