Apple restricts bug bounty reports due to influx of AI-generated submissions
According to a report by the Financial Times, Apple has placed a cap on the volume of security vulnerability reports that researchers can send to its internal team. This decision follows a spike in submissions from amateur hunters using AI, which often result in fabricated security threats. Through its bug bounty initiative introduced last year, Apple offers rewards reaching up to $5 million (approximately ₹47 crore) to security researchers.
