Apple requests court order to stop OpenAI from using trade secrets
Apple has filed a request with a US judge for a preliminary injunction to prevent OpenAI and two former staff members from utilizing or accessing data that it claims constitutes trade secrets. The tech giant is also pushing for an accelerated discovery process, which would include the collection of documents and sworn testimonies. The legal action alleges that Chang Liu and Tang Yew Tan, both of whom previously worked at Apple and are now employed by OpenAI, misappropriated sensitive information related to hardware development.
