Apple exploring PrismML tech to bring AI models to iPhones
According to a CNBC report, Apple is currently in discussions with PrismML to assess the startup's software, which is designed to compress large AI models so they can function on iPhones. On Tuesday, the startup showcased smaller versions of Alibaba’s open-source Qwen AI model, successfully cutting its size from 54 GB down to less than 4 GB. This breakthrough allows the model to operate directly on an iPhone 15.
