Antonsen criticizes India Open scheduling, cites ₹4.7 lakh fine due to pollution

Danish badminton player Anders Antonsen, who withdrew from this year's India Open in January because of severe pollution, has questioned the Badminton World Federation's decision to hold the tournament in Delhi during the early months of the year. Antonsen remarked that the pollution levels during that time are incredibly high. He explained that whenever he looks at the annual schedule, he feels like he is being handed an automatic fine of ₹4.7 lakh ($5,000) for skipping the event.
