Anthropic inks ₹86,000 crore deal with Bitcoin miner for AI computing power
According to a Bloomberg report, Anthropic has entered into a 20-year agreement valued at $9.1 billion (roughly ₹86,000 crore) with Riot Platforms, a Bitcoin mining firm that has started offering data center space for AI. Under this arrangement, Riot will provide 191 megawatts of power to support Anthropic’s AI models, with the initial 96 megawatts expected to be operational by the end of 2027. The contract could potentially grow to ₹1.53 lakh crore if two five-year extension options are exercised.
