Andhra Pradesh to host India’s inaugural Quantum and AI University
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has given the green light for the establishment of the country’s first university focused exclusively on Quantum technology and AI in Amaravati, to be run by NIELIT. The project will span an 8.5-acre site and requires a total investment of ₹730.7 crore over a five-year period, with backing from a MeitY grant. The initiative is designed to educate 8,250 students, with 1,650 spots reserved for degree programs and 6,600 allocated for specialized certification and skill-building courses.
