Andhra Pradesh allocates 95% of revenue to staff salaries and pensions
According to the State Finance Department Progress Report, Andhra Pradesh utilized more than 95% of its revenue for pensions and salaries during FY26, totaling ₹1,05,039 crore. The state provides direct and indirect employment to between 10 and 12 lakh individuals across secretariats, corporations, and public sector undertakings. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu noted that the significant spending on human resources has added to the state's financial strain.
