Amravati hospital fire: Parent describes seeing babies covered in soot
A father whose eight-day-old baby was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the District Women's Hospital in Amravati, Maharashtra, shared the terrifying scene following a fire. Yogesh Savarkar, who had been resting outside the facility, heard the commotion around 3:15 AM and ran in to save his child. He described witnessing other infants coated in black ash. The incident resulted in the deaths of three newborns.
