American inmate in Tihar jail requests pasta and shrimp, claims jail food is too oily
Matthew Aaron VanDyk, a US citizen currently held in Tihar Jail, has petitioned a Delhi court for access to shrimp, pasta, olive oil, soya milk, and a stove. He stated that the “greasy” and “oily” meals provided by the prison have left him unable to eat. VanDyk reported that he has shed approximately 14 kg because of the inadequate diet. He is currently in custody alongside six Ukrainian nationals on charges linked to terrorism.
