Amarnath Yatra halted starting July 19 due to weather warnings
The yearly Amarnath Yatra has been put on hold along both the Baltal and Pahalgam paths beginning July 19, prompted by an adverse weather alert from the IMD. The India Meteorological Department anticipates scattered moderate thunderstorms throughout Jammu and Kashmir until July 23. Since the pilgrimage kicked off on July 3, more than 3.7 lakh pilgrims have successfully reached the Holy Cave Shrine.
