Airbus report: Air India jet lost control for 4 seconds with pilot under influence
According to an NDTV report, an initial Airbus investigation into the Air India flight that dropped 300 feet—where the pilot later tested positive for marijuana—revealed a four-second loss of control. The A320 experienced this issue following a failure of its three hydraulic systems, which resulted in a complete loss of elevator function, aileron surfaces, and the remaining spoilers. During those four seconds of instability, the aircraft's autopilot system also disengaged.
