Air India Express flight forced to turn back after engine oil level drops dangerously
An Abu Dhabi-bound Air India Express flight from Kochi had to turn around mid-air when the crew noticed a sharp decline in the oil level of one engine, causing the oil pressure to reach critical levels. The Boeing 737 plane was cruising at an altitude of 36,000 feet and had been in the air for 50 minutes. The pilots subsequently turned off the affected engine.
