AI-created faces perceived as more reliable than actual human faces, says research
Research conducted by Lancaster University indicates that synthetic faces produced by artificial intelligence are often viewed as more credible than genuine human faces. In the study, actual human faces were regularly ranked as the least dependable, receiving an average score of 4.03 out of a possible seven points. Interestingly, images crafted by modern AI systems were deemed more trustworthy, even though they appeared less lifelike.
