Ahmedabad to host 2030 Commonwealth Games as India receives official flag
During Sunday's closing ceremony, Glasgow officially passed the Commonwealth Games (CWG) flag and baton to India. The items were accepted by Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra, Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha, and Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi. Ahmedabad is set to host the 2030 centenary games. India concluded the 2026 CWG in fourth place, securing a total of 39 medals, which included 13 gold, 17 silver, and nine bronze.
