This follows their earlier statement that claims regarding her great-grandfather’s pro-Japanese history were false. Her ancestor, Dr. Ahn Sang Ho, was part of the Daejeong Chinmokhoe, a group that collaborated with the Japanese during their occupation of Korea. Notably, he was the first Korean individual to receive a medical license from Japan.
