Aakash Chopra recalls Steve Bucknor admitting to wrong LBW call
Reflecting on the 2004 India tour of Pakistan, former cricketer Aakash Chopra shared that he was incorrectly ruled LBW by umpire Steve Bucknor. Chopra stated, "I got an inside edge and the ball hit my pad. He gave it out. I was distraught." He further mentioned that he later encountered Bucknor at the hotel, where the umpire was telling the receptionist, "I gave him out." Chopra remarked, "He was crazy."
