80 Maharashtra Tourists, Including Mumbai Mountaineer, Missing After Nepal Floods
Dr. Milind Chitlay, a mountaineer from Mumbai, is among 80 tourists from Maharashtra who are currently stranded in Nepal due to recent flash floods. The state government has reported that contact has been made with only about four of these tourists so far. To assist the affected residents, a 24-hour control room has been established at Mantralaya. Across the region, nearly 300 Indian nationals remain unaccounted for, and the severe flooding has tragically resulted in over 270 deaths.
