8 monks die in Thailand after child crashes truck into religious parade

A tragic accident in Mukdahan province left eight Thai monks dead and 10 more wounded when a young boy drove a pickup truck into a Buddhist procession. According to police, the child took the vehicle without authorization and subsequently lost control. Officials have now opened an inquiry into the crash.
