8 killed in Nepal floods near Tibet border as rescue choppers struggle to land
At least eight individuals have lost their lives and dozens of others, including personnel, are still missing following a huge flash flood in Nepal's Rasuwa district, a region of around 50,000 people located close to the Tibet border. The water rose so high that rescue helicopters faced severe difficulties trying to land in the most severely affected locations. The number of casualties may increase further, as the flooding has also caused damage to local roads, bridges, and power projects.
