₹52,000-crore defence procurement cleared: Here is what the three armed forces will receive
The Defence Acquisition Council has greenlit new defence procurement proposals worth ₹52,000 crore. For the Army, the acquisitions include the Akash Tarang UAV electronic warfare system, man-portable anti-tank guided missile (MPATGM) units, and jet-powered Kamikaze drones, alongside other equipment. The Indian Navy is set to receive naval shipborne unmanned aerial systems, while the Indian Air Force will acquire a fixed-wing high-altitude pseudo satellite.
