3D printing personalized chewable diabetes medication
Researchers at BITS Pilani have developed an affordable, animal-free bioink composed of sodium alginate, maltodextrin, and maize starch. By utilizing semisolid extrusion 3D bioprinting, this hydrogel is capable of producing porous skin scaffolds that maintain a human cell survival rate of over 70%, in addition to manufacturing tailored chewable medicinal tablets.
