2026 Global Passport Index: India holds 125th position
The Global Passport Index (GPI) has launched its fifth yearly report. European nations dominate the list, taking nine out of the top 10 spots; the leading countries include Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, the UK, Norway, and Singapore. Out of 200 nations evaluated in the 2026 index, India is placed at 125th. Meanwhile, the country continues to hold a global mobility ranking near 135th.
