19 child labourers rescued in Bengaluru after CM's surprise market visit
Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar conducted a surprise inspection at the APMC market in Yeshwanthpur. Acting on his instructions, the Bengaluru City Police and the Labour Department launched an operation and rescued 19 children who were reportedly working in various shops. The group included 13 children from Bihar, two each from Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, and one child each from Karnataka and Rajasthan. Additionally, authorities rescued another 10 children who were found working along the roadside.
