On Tuesday, sixteen Maoists turned themselves in to the Jharkhand police. Six of these individuals had rewards on their heads, amounting to a total of ₹39 lakh. This group included Santosh Mahto, who carried a ₹15 lakh bounty and is linked to 128 criminal cases, such as an IED explosion. According to officials, the group also handed over six INSAS rifles, two AK-47s, 38 magazines, and 1,562 rounds of ammunition.
