108 emergency service in Gujarat completes two decades
Marking 20 years of service, Gujarat's 108 emergency network has attended to almost 1.99 crore emergencies and assisted in saving more than 19.66 lakh lives. The complimentary ambulance system has covered a distance of over 62 crore km, managing road accidents, medical crises, as well as maternal and child emergencies. At present, the service deploys an ambulance every 21 seconds throughout the state.
